Child Tax Rebate: Governor of Connecticut Ned Lamont made an announcement regarding the child tax payments. The announcement mentioned that the state will grant a $250 rebate check to the families.

Lamont said that eligible families can apply to receive a state tax rebate of $250 per child.

Earlier this month, governor Lamont signed the 2022 Connecticut Child Tax Rebate. It will send money to those families who will make a claim for a maximum of three children.

Governor’s Message:

In his message to the public, the governor said that apart from making big investments in childcare, prevention of crimes, protection of the environment, and caring for the most vulnerable, the budget would provide relief, especially to the lower and middle-income families having children.

To avail of this rebate, the application period will take place over the next several weeks, and the rebates will go out in late August before the start of the next school year.

He has also urged all the eligible families in Connecticut to submit the application so that the rebate could be sent to them without any delay.
